He married (1) on 25 Feb 1844 in St. Matthews, Calhoun Co., South Carolina Martha Eliazabeth HUNT, born 26 Aug 1825 in Alabama; died 15 Jan 1860 in St. Matthews, Calhoun Co., South Carolina, daughter of Benjamin HUNT and Susan [---]; (2) on 17 Jun 1862 Glovenia Eliza RAST, born 24 Dec 1827 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina; died 31 Dec 1894 in St. Matthews, Calhoun Co., South Carolina, daughter of Jacob RAST and Martha DANTZLER.

Notes for Daniel Frederick SPIGNER: Baptist Minister. His 2nd wife,Glovenia, raised his 2 young daughters from 1st marriage.

d. Catherine Isabel SPIGNER, born 24 Sep 1851 in St. Matthews, Calhoun Co., South Carolina; died 27 Jul 1942 in Auburn, Lee Co., Alabama. She married on 1 May 1872 in St. Matthews, Calhoun Co., South Carolina George Smith ANDERSON.

e. Harriet Pou SPIGNER, born 29 Oct 1853; died 28 Oct 1854.

f. Martha Eulela SPIGNER, born 24 Dec 1855.

g. William Henry SPIGNER, born 20 Jun 1858; died 31 Jan 1862.
