Migration of Jacob William CRUM and Jane WILSON1. Jacob William CRUM, born 1800 in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina, son of John CRUM. He married Jane WILSON. Notes for Jacob William CRUM: Migrated to Hinds County Mississippi about 1819 or a little later. Land Patent Detail of land issued 10 Dec 1840 on Mt. Salus in Choctaw land in Hinds county, Misssissippi. Mt Salus was at a junction of the Natchez Trail and the old road to Vicksburg. Children of Jacob William CRUM and Jane WILSON were as follows: a. Emmet Crum (Dr.), born 1835 , died 1886 in Mississippi. He married Hattie Cornelia Pope in 1867. a. William Erasmus Crum, born 1836, died 30 Jul 1897 in Haughton County, Louisiana, He married (1) Virginia D. Pope on 5 Jan 1867, (2) Florence Henderson. He was a civil engineer. a. Henry S. Crum, born 1 Feb 1841, died 26 Dec 1928 in Gallman, Mississippi. He married Victorine Woodruff on 18 Feb 1869. a. Charles P. Crum, born 1847, died Aug 1863 at the Seige of Vicksburg. a. Benjamin Frederick, born 1839, died 29 jun 1862 in Richmond, Virginia. a. Elizabeth Ann, born 1853 died 9 Jan 1896 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. She married Charles William Pope. a.
