He married Gracie Leah BUTLER, born 1780 in North Carolina; died 1862 in Brandon, Mississippi, daughter of John BUTLER and Elizabeth [---]. Notes for Isaac MYERS: There were two branches of the Myers family that settled in Rankin Co., MS. The Isaac branch came down the MS River in 1818 from TN to Natchez on a flatboat and settled first in Lawrence Co., MS and later moved to Rankin Co. The last home of Isaac and Gracie was located four miles south of Brandon, MS. It has been said that a MYERS that had originally been destined for TX decided after the accident to settle in Rankin County, MS. Children of Isaac MYERS and Gracie Leah BUTLER were as follows: a. John MYERS, born 1800 in South Carolina. He married on 8 Mar 1823 in Lawrence County, Mississippi Elizabeth FORTENBERRY. b. Asa MYERS, born 1802 in South Carolina; died in Lawrence County, Mississippi. He married on 2 Feb 1822 in Lawrence County, Mississippi Frances FORTENBERRY. c. Henry MYERS, born 1807 in South Carolina; died in Rankin County, Mississippi. He married on 12 Mar 1861 in Rankin County, Mississippi Rebecca BECOT. d. William MYERS, born 1809 in South Carolina; died in Mississippi. e. Calvin MYERS, born 1811 in Kentucky. f. Chapman MYERS, born 1815 in Tennessee. He married Almedia COLE. g. Carmon MYERS, born 2 May 1816; died 20 Jan 1871. He married Martha Anne PURVIS h. Samuel MYERS, born 6 Sep 1818; died 18 Dec 1877. He married Mary RANKIN. i. Elizabeth MYERS, born 9 Dec 1820 in Mississippi; died 28 Feb 1889. She married on 17 Mar 1836 in Lawrence County, Mississippi, Priar T. BERRY. j. Mary J. MYERS, born 31 Oct 1823 in Mississippi; died 3 May 1862. She married William RAGLAND. k. Alvin MYERS, born 27 Nov 1827 in Mississippi; died 28 Jun 1902.
