1. John Lewis LINDER, born Dec 1765 in South Carolina; died 18 May 1843 in Jones County, Mississippi, son of Lewis LINDER and Anna HASFORT. He married unknown.

Children of John Lewis LINDER were as follows:

a. Barbara LINDER, born 23 Sep 1797 in South Carolina; died 9 May 1869 in Jasper County, Mississippi. She married on 26 Jan 1815 John LIGHTSEY, born 17 Sep 1796 in Barnwell Co., South Carolina; died 28 Jan 1854 in Jasper County, Mississippi.

b. Edward L. LINDER, born abt 1802 in Glynn County, Georgia; died aft 1866. He married in Mississippi Althena [---].

c. Thomas William LINDER, born 15 Apr 1813 in South Carolina; died 29 Jan 1877 in Jones County, Mississippi. He married Dicie TREST, born 18 Sep 1821 in South Carolina; died 30 Jan 1891 in Jones County, Mississippi, daughter of John TREST (JR) and Elizabeth WALTERS.

d. Mary LINDER, born 1815 in South Carolina; died in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. She married James COOPER (JR).

e. Sarah Mehetybal LINDER, born abt 1821 in Mississippi; died in Jasper County, Mississippi. She married Allen Joseph HERRINGTON, born abt 1819; died in Jasper County, Mississippi.
