1. William A. KERSH, born 24 Feb 1791 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 19 Sep 1856 in Rankin County, Mississippi, son of Andrew KERSH and Eva Margarreta GEYSLER. He married on 24 May 1812 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina Rachel SHULER, born 17 Oct 1795 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 1861 in Rankin County, Mississippi, daughter of John Henry SHULER and Judith RISER.

Children of William A. KERSH and Rachel SHULER were as follows:

a. Mary Elizabeth Shuler KERSH, born 5 Mar 1813 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 17 Jul 1893 in Rankin County, Mississippi. She married John E. RHODES, born 23 Nov 1810; died 26 Aug 1852 in Rankin County, Mississippi.

b. William Glen KERSH, born 3 Sep 1814 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 12 Jul 1855 in Rankin County, Mississippi. He married abt 1837 Elizabeth MEYERS, born 29 Jun 1817 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died in Mississippi, daughter of Sarah MYERS.

c. Andrew Allen KERSH, born 31 Mar 1817 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died in Rankin County, Mississippi. He married Elizabeth RIEDELSPERGER.

d. Elizabeth Ann KERSH, born 9 Jun 1827 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 13 Apr 1895 in Rankin County, Mississippi. She married on 30 Mar 1848 James MARTIN, born 9 Feb 1817 in Giles County, Tennessee; died 11 Nov 1896 in Rankin County, Mississippi.

e. Margaret Elizabeth KERSH, born 15 Oct 1819 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 12 Apr 1859 in Hallettsville, Lavaca Co., Texas. She married on 4 Oct 1840 in Rankin County, Mississippi Charlie Decatarah RHODES.

f. Timothy P. KERSH, born 8 Sep 1820 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 18 Dec 1854 in Rankin County, Mississippi.

g. David George KERSH, born 5 Dec 1822 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 7 Aug 1898 in Rankin County, Mississippi. He married on 29 Feb 1852 Mary M. ORMOND, born 22 Nov 1821; died 11 Jun 1909 in Rankin County, Mississippi.
