He married on 3 Mar 1832 in Orangeburg, South Carolina Temperance Ann HILDEBRAND, born 30 Jun 1815 in Orangeburg District, South Carolina; died 17 Feb 1901 in Sturkie, Alabama; buried in Sturkie Cemetery, Alabama, daughter of Jacob HILDEBRAND and Rachel Jemina LEONARD.

Children of Samuel STURKIE and Temperance Ann HILDEBRAND were as follows:

a. Daniel STURKIE, born abt 1833.

b. Margaret STURKIE, born 1835.

c. Jacob STURKIE, born 1837.

d. Drucilla STURKIE, born 1839.

e. Martha STURKIE, born 1842.

f. Isiah STURKIE, born 1845.
